Heritage pattern introduced by Patons a century ago - I have a vintage version which states that it is 'based on a traditional Shetland pattern and designed by Mrs A Hunter of Unst.' In traditional garter st lace, in 3 ply or 2 ply yarn 28st/36 rows to 10cm.

Two more heritage designs - the square version is based on a Shetland design and has been in the Patons range for over a century. Knitted in 3 ply or 2 ply yarn. 

3 ply yarn shawl with allover lace pattern (14 row repeat). Finished size 122x122 cm (48x48 ins). 26sts/44 rows to 10cm on 3mm needles.

Baby shawl in 3 ply, 4 ply or DK yarn. 105- 152cm square (41-60in) depending on yarn.

Finest shawls in 2 ply yarn, one with allover leaf pattern (16 row repeat) and one with chevron border (6 row repeat). 30st/38 rows to 10cm, 3.75mm needles.

Finest shawls in 2 ply yarn, one with chevron lace and diamond border, one in mesh lace. Mesh pattern 30st/38 rows, chevron 28st/ 36 rows both to 10cm on 4mm needles.

Circular shawl with lace border and garter st body, or square with raised petals and leaf border and stocking st body. In 2 ply, 24st/34 rows to 10cm, 4mm needles.

Shawl in 3 ply or 4 ply has diamond border and edging. 3 ply tension 27st/ 42 rows to 10cm, 3.25mm needles. 4 ply tension 25st/ 38 rows to 10cm, 3.25mm needles.

4 ply shawl with plain garter st centre, garter st lace border and edging knitted lengthwise, approx 115cm (45in) square.

Shawl (86cm/ 34in square) knitted in triangles in easy lacy st, plus scallop lace matinee coat, angel top, bonnet, mitts and bootees. To fit sizes 36-51cm.

Matinee coat, angel top, bonnet, bootees, mitts and shawl in easy, 1 pattern row, lace. Sizes 36-51cm (14-20in). In DK, 20sts/28 rows to 10cm, over garter st, 4mm needles.
