On line. You can pay securely on line by selecting the card or Paypal options at checkout.
By phone. You can also pay over the phone by card by ringing 07539 292450 between 9am and 6pm. If we are unable to take your call please leave a name and number and we will return your call
By post. You can also post an order with a GBP Sterling Cheque, (drawn on a UK bank) or UK Postal Order.  Cheques should be made payable to Modern Knitting and posted to The Willows, Church Rd, Theberton, Suffolk IP16 4F

We charge £3.00 towards the costs of post and packaging for all orders of less than £25 within the UK. Over £20 postage is free within the UK. The general terms and conditions of our service are detailed below and we may change these terms from time to time without notice to you. Changes will apply to any subsequent orders received.  We do not give credit terms for any of the items we sell.  We must have received payment for the goods and delivery charges before  we can process your order. 



We usually send orders within two days but please allow 7 days for delivery of your order before contacting us and 14 days if you live outside the UK. Delivery will usually be via services provided by the Royal Mail. We make every effort to deliver goods within the estimated timescales, however delays are occasionally inevitable.



Goods are offered subject to availability. In the event that we are unable to supply  the goods ordered we will inform you as soon as possible via the e-mail address and/ or telehone number given to us on the order form. Should any of the goods ordered be unobtainable or subject to a price increase we will offer you the choice to switch to comparable goods or take a refund.  Information about availability and price item may change without notice.  An order is formally accepted at the point at which goods are despatched.



We want you to be totally satisfied with every purchase you make. If you are unhappy with any yarn, needles, accessories or books supplied by us you can return them within 7 days (14 days overseas customers) so long as they are in the same condition as dispatched.  The address is The Willows, Church Rd, Theberton, Suffolk IP16 4F.  If you want to exchange we will post the exchanged goods at no extra charge but cannot reimburse any postage costs involved in posting them back to us.  If you wish a refund on your payment we reserve the right to retain the postage costs incurred in posting them to you. If Royal Mail cannot deliver an order and goods and not collected from the sorting office and returned to us we reserve the right to withhold the postage costs incurred by us from any refund.   Refunds are usually made through the card or Paypal account through which the order was made.  This is normally done within 3 weeks.  If goods are returned without agreement outside of this time we may charge a restocking fee.

We are not able to offer refunds on patterns unless they are damaged or not as ordered. If any of the goods we send to you are not as ordered, are damaged in transit, if we have sent the incorrect amount or the goods are defective in some other way please notify us within 7 days of the goods being delivered to you or we will not be liable.  It is the responsibility of the customer  to check the goods on receipt and we will not be liable if you discover goods to be not as ordered once you have begun working with them or rendered them unsuitable for resale in any other way: this does not affect your rights in relation to faulty or damaged items. We will replace the damaged or faulty goods or alter the quantity accordingly.  Please make sure you contact us before returning the goods.  If the error is our fault we will refund the return postage costs.  Any refunds will be made through the card or Paypal account through which the order was made. 



In the event on non delivery we operate within Royal Mail guidelines who do not consider items lost withing 17 working days from the expected date of arrival within the UK and 21 days overseas.  However, if your parcel has not arrived in 7 days (UK), 15 days (overseas) and you have not been informed of any delay, please contact your local sorting office first before contacting us.  If the order is not there we will need the contact details of the sorting office before we can investigate further or be held responsible.  If your parcel is lost we will either offer you a full refund or send you     replacement goods as soon as possible. Please note that we accept no responsibility unless you notify us within 15 days (21 days overseas) of the date on which you placed your order. We shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage, including loss of profit, or any other form  of compensation.  If your order is returned as not collected or accepted we reserve the right to to retain the postage costs.
